Learning and development
Loop2’s focus on learning and development informs just about everything we do but we do offer some specific learning events and opportunities:
Learning sets and networks. These bring together small groups of individuals with common interests in a specific theme or topic or at similar stages of their life and career. Both sets and networks will work with the particular learning styles and interests of the participants. A ‘set’ is more self –sufficient and includes a good deal of co-consulting or peer support within the group. A ‘network’ by contrast may be more fluid in terms of the participants and will typically have greater content input either from the facilitator or external contributors. We can help by facilitating an existing set or network or put you in touch with other people who might be interested in joining a set/network with you. We have run a diverse range of sets and networks from from all women managers in public services, to chairs of Trusts and health authorities to groups of clinical leaders from different professions. We also run the ‘oldest’ learning set in the world (or rather the longest standing) which includes the current Chief Executive of the Environment Agency, the Ombudsman for Northern Ireland, the Chairman of an American risk assessment company, a past Deputy Chief Executive of the NHS and the ex-General Secretary of the Royal College of Nursing!
Coaching can help anyone who wants to refocus their life, achieve new personal or professional goals, improve and sustain performance. It is particularly suited to people with busy and challenging lives either inside or outside the workplace.
Loop2’s coaching is entirely focused on the individual, their goals and requirements from the coaching relationship.. We can offer one-off coaching sessions but we find that most people gain more where they work on their personal changes over a number of sessions. Typically monthly sessions over a six month period are sufficient to make real and sustainable progress in achieving coaching objectives but it can also provide valuable ad hoc support over a longer period.
There’s no easy answer to how coaching works - our approaches are not based on a formula or menu they are purposely designed for individuals, their style, preferences and needs. Personal trust and chemistry is important element of effective coaching so we can offer taster sessions by phone or face to face to give you a feel about how we work.
The Centre for Business Gaming and Behavioural Simulations brings together Loop2’s unrivalled expertise and experience in designing and running games and simulations and a team of international advisers and collaborators. We build models and prototypes that can help any business, partnership or group improve their understanding of the problem to be solved or the opportunity to be exploited.
The centre offers:
